Actually working on some new stuff for upcoming Sotart exhibition at Artwaves.

I handed in my very last assignment for my Fine Art Degree last Friday and I have been feeling rather dislocated since. 

I have a great deal of plans and projects to explore now that I am finished, so I was expecting to feel elated. However I just feel a bit, “oh is that it?”

Probably I will find time to celebrate and then it will feel a bit more real. The graduation ceremony is approaching so maybe the cap and gown thing will dispel this feeling.

I began this degree 7 years ago and a lot has happened,the discovery that my elder son has autism and the ensuing battle to get him to Abbey Hill Special School, watching him grow and improve with the staffs amazing educational skills, then the birth of my youngest son,  I have discovered new friends and love of music. It is safe to say my life and myself have changed a lot since I began.

Looking back the Fine Art degree has been a massive part of my life.

I’m sure that I will find plenty to do. I am hoping to continue with my art work and links with SoTart and the Exchange, so this isn’t going to disappear without trace. Not to mention an interest in Comic books, tattoos, learning new instruments, creating new art work and music, did I mention being a Radiographer and a family? So not much then.
